Versatile and durable, acrylic is used in a number of applications. Characteristics include rigidity, resistance to most solvents and chemicals, resistance to heat and burning, and impermeability to gases.
Modacrylic fibres are soft, strong, and resilient that are often used to manufacture personal protective equipment (PPE) and filters. Characteristics include high environmental resistance, flame retardancy, low density, softness, good dispersion, and outstanding resistance to chemicals and solvents.
Aramid fibres are strong, heat-resistant fibres that are commonly used in military and industrial applications. Benefits include extremely high strength, durability, resistance to solvents and chemicals, and low flammability.
Nylon is an extremely common material which can be added to a wide range of products. Characteristics include durability, sunlight and sun damage resistance, high melting point, good elasticity and elastic recovery, and softness.
Polyester fibres and powders are commonly used either as the primary material in a product or as an addition to increase performance. Benefits include high strength, resistance to stretching and shrinkage, stain resistance, and invulnerability to most chemicals, acids, and alkalis.
Polyethylene, or PE, is a wear resistant plastic used in a wide range of applications. Characteristics include flexibility, high impact strength, resistance to chemicals and solvents, and zero water absorption.
Polypropylene, or PP, is used in a wide variety of applications due to its toughness, versatility, and resistance to heat and chemicals. Other benefits include flexibility, fatigue resistance, and low density.
