The majority of these materials will require pre forming prior to use. Nylon flocks are used to reinforce thermosetting resins for the compression moulding of electrical components. Short cut fibres and flocks can also be used in Fibre-reinforced plastic (FRP) and Resin Transfer Moulding.

Goonvean Fibres offers a range of polyethylene powders that are commonly used in epoxy resins, varnishes and paints. The exact powder micron size will be determined by the end use e.g. lower micron size are used in varnishes, mid range in epoxy resins and high micron size in paints.

Polyacrylonitrile (PAN) is a synthetic resin prepared by the polymerisation of acrylonitrile. A member of the important family of acrylic resins, it is a hard, rigid thermoplastic material that is resistant to most solvents and chemicals, slow to burn, and of low permeability to gases. PAN fibre is therefore used in many different applications where these attributes are specified.

Nylon is one of the most commonly used polymers and has found applications in everything from tooth brushes to textile manufacture. The most common grades used in industrial reinforcement are Nylon 6 and Nylon 6.6
