The best-known type of silk is obtained from the cocoons of the larvae of the mulberry silkworm. There are several grades of raw silk available, the highest quality is used in textile manufacture.
Ground silk is chemically treated to release sericin which is used in the manufacture of cosmetic products.
Our 500 micron milled silk is a standard product but other micron sizes can be manufactured on request.
